Flight Arrivals at Portland Jetport Airport

When arriving at an unfamiliar airport, (or jetport as this particular airport is referred to), there are always a few questions we want the answers to. We have collected some information of what services and amenities travelers can expect to find at Portland International Jetport.

Transfers at Portland Jetport

Traveler Pick Up – Travelers can be picked up on curbside outside the terminal building, however it is not allowed to park here only to stop and collect. Greeters can wait for the traveler at the Cell Phone lot free of charge, or park their car for free for up to 30 minutes in the short term parking lot.

Rental Cars – The rental car companies available at the jetport are located in the consolidated car rental area in the parking garage located only a few steps away. Public Transport Buses – METRO’s Bus Route #5 operates between downtown Portland and the Maine Mall area in South Portland with stops at the airport as well as at the Transportation Center in Portland. The bus stop is located outside the terminal. More about buses to and from Portland Jetport.

Taxis – Taxis are available at the Ground Transportation Center outside the terminal, signs show the way. More information about taxis at Portland Jetport.

Hotel Shuttles – Hotel shuttles are shuttle transfers provided by hotels in the area. Some hotels offer this service free of charge, while others apply an additional charge to the service. Not all hotels offer the service so check with your accommodation for more information.

Ride Shares – Ride Share companies offer transfers requested via their smartphone application. Rides should be requested after arriving at the jetport through the chosen company’s app.

Limousines, Private Cars, Vans and Coaches – There are other means of transfer from the airport offered by various private companies. These transfers are organized by the chosen company upon the request by the traveler or their representative and are not affiliated with the jetport. Trains – The jetport does not have a train station, but an Amtrak station is located at the Transportation Center in Portland. It is possible to transfer there using the Public Transport Bus or via taxi or Ride Share. More information about rail services near Portland Jetport.

Smoking at Portland Jetport

There is no smoking allowed inside the jetport’s facility. Designated smoking areas can be found outside the terminals. This is the only where smoking at the jetport is allowed. Passengers with a connecting flight that want to smoke must go through to landside and then re-enter through the security control to get back to airside.

ATMs at Portland Jetport

ATMs/cash machines can be found in the Baggage Claim area, as well as in the ticketing area and close to Gate 6 on airside.

Currency Exchange at Portland Jetport

Old Port Currency Exchange services can be found next to the escalator in the Ticketing area on Level 1.

Luggage Carts at Portland Jetport

Luggage carts are available, charges may be applicable, in the Baggage Claim area as well as at Curbside Ticketing.

Lactation Room at Portland Jetport

The jetport has one lactation room. It is located on airside between Gates 5 and 6.

Visitor Information Desk at Portland Jetport

An information desk for visitors is situated in the Baggage Claim area. It is open all days from 12 pm to 12 am.

Storage Lockers at Portland Jetport

There are no storage lockers available at the jetport.

Terminal Opening Hours at Portland Jetport

The jetport is open at all times, although all establishments and the airline ticket counters will be closed.

Food and Beverage at Portland Jetport

The jetport’s food and beverage establishments are located on airside in the gate areas.

Shopping at Portland Jetport

News and Gifts establishments can be found on airside in the areas of gates 3, 6 and 9.
